ABOUT

Scott Friedberg is currently Associate Director of Bands and Director of Orchestras at East River High School in Orlando, Florida. Having lived in Orlando since 1998, Scott Friedberg is an alumni of Timber Creek High School, and attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a Bachelor's in Music Education. While at the University of Central Florida, Scott had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Keith Koons, Dr. Scott Tobias, and Dr. Ryan Kelly.

Since graduating UCF, Scott has had the opportunity to teach at multiple locations. He has been Director of Orchestras at Lockhart Middle School, Piedmont Lakes Middle School, and East River High School

​

Scott arrived at East River in 2013 as a Woodwind Instructor, and has been a Visual Staff Member, a Visual Caption Head, and received the role of Associate Director of Bands in the fall of 2018.

As a Drill writer, Scott has been a consistent practitioner of the art, and has showcased a few design ideas and concepts in East River's marching programs in both 2018 and 2019. In 2021, Scott wrote his first full show for East River, Caliente. Following the success of the band’s 2021 season, Scott added Lake Minneola High School and Collins Hill High School to his portfolio in 2022. Scott is now accepting new clients for the 2023 season!

Scott's Goals and Missions as a drill writer is to provide affordable, quality drill, that will challenge and excite each performer while creating the opportunity for every student to achieve their highest level.
